Pay it Forward

Being a Responsible Citizen

    I've learned recently that there comes a business point when we feel like we are managing and we've paid off our own debts or attained a level of success we are comfortable with, that we should turn around and see who else we can help, support and lift.  

    We can pay it forward financially; however, that is only a beginning point.  We can share the skills and things we have learned with those who are around us so those whom we are supporting can overcome their challenges. 

    We can also take that a step further and look around at our communities and see what things are needed in the community, and step up and be a leader and create systems and infrastructure that will be beneficial.  You can also consider being a coach or workshop leader and lean into the skills and abilities that you may have that you can teach and share and help others to learn what you are passionate about. 

    When we learn to help others individually and within our communities, we are building and supporting others.  The individuals and the community will have a better understanding and grasp of how to maintain and attain their own success.

    Change won't happen overnight, but if you are willing to be a support and guide where needed and help people understand why things should transpire the way they do, the stronger the individual and the community will be.  They will be able to problem-solve and pivot where needed, and then in turn they will be able to look behind them for other individuals and look around their communities and see where they can be a positive influence on others and be a support to the community.
